Coachella Valley Preserve-- Nature at it's Finest!

Located 10 miles east of downtown Palm Springs, the Coachella Valley Preserve is a beautiful nature park filled with an array of wildlife and desert plant life. The area is also the only place where you can see the Coachella Valley fringe lizard. Coachella Valley Fringe Lizard

If you hike far enough into the park, you may also be able to explore the famous Thousand Palms Oasis, which is fed water through a deep crack in the San Andreas Fault Line.

The six-mile Pushawalla Palms trail is the most challenging of those available in the park, but it is also the most rewarding as it provides an excellent view of the valley and takes visitors to the stunning Pushawalla Palms Oasis.

The easiest of the trails is the Willis Palms trail, but even this involves a four mile-long hike, so come prepared for a decent walk.
