I am with Alan... I don't want to know, I don't need to know. Your finances are your business... period. I am in the real estate business, not the lending, finance business. I'll take care of my part and your personal finances are between you, your banker and your lender.
Many people avoid hiring friends, who are Realtors, to represent them.
The concern that has popped up, has been that they don't want their Realtor to know all their personal information. They don't want to share their finances, and are concerned that it will hurt the friendship, if the Realtor/friend knows how much money they make... (maybe they make more, maybe they make less)... they just want to keep it private.
Well, surprise, surprise people... I don't want know to your personal financial information, and more importantly... I don't NEED to know it. When clients come to me to help with the purchase of a property... I send them off to one of my prized mortgage lenders, and they will discuss your finances with you. I am not a party to that discussion, and I don't need/want to be. All I need to know, from the lender, is how much you're pre-approved to purchase.
In fact, it would be a serious violation for any of the lenders to share any of your private information with me, without your permission.
There... don't you feel better?
