The architecture here in the Palm Springs area is eclectic and historic. From old California Spanish to Mid-Century Modern. In March we will celebrate the Spanish homes and architecture and Diane Keaton will be here to to support the Palm Springs Preservation Foundation.
Aside from being an award-winning film actress, director, and author, Diane Keaton is highly respected for her efforts in the California architectural preservation community. In addition to her advocacy of residential preservation, Ms. Keaton is active in campaigns with the Los Angeles Conservancy to save and restore many historic public buildings.
Desert Spanish Weekend is being celebrated on March 23-25, 2012 and will recognize Palm Springs' amazing stock of Spanish-influenced architecture. The weekend's events include a free lecture, an all-day Saturday house tour and a cocktail party at the historic Thomas O'Donnell House.
